Why do I get this message Couldn't sign in on the screen as soon as the Nexus 10 is switched on?

Couldn't sign in - this keeps coming on the screen as soon as the Nexus 10 is switched on.

Couldn't sign in - this keeps coming on the screen as soon as the Nexus 10 is switched on. Says I typed an incorrect password but I haven't even typed a password. Says Click Here to recover your account but clicking there just brings the same screen back up. Please help.
