Why do I have gray bars on the top and bottom of my phone when I apply dark wallpaper on my s6 edge?

So this has been bothering me real bad. I wanted to apply a really dark picture as my wallpaper to make use of the s6's super amoled screen. But when ever I do so, I get these gray bars on the top and bottom of my screen. Though it does not apply to my lock screen as there are no gray bars there. I was wondering if anyone has the same problem or if anyone knows how to fix this problem. Please I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance

It's what I use and I don't have the gray bars you are experiencing.
