Why do I have three gallery icons on my desktop?

My phone was stolen about 1 month ago. I called my service provider and they blocked my card. The following day I picked up a new phone and new sim with the same number. The three gallery icons are worrying - is there a chance that the thief can access my data? I did have a passcode on my old phone. Any help/guidance would be very much appreciated.

I don’t know what the three Gallery icons signifies.

Did your provider block the phone itself? Did they offer any advice on remotely wiping the device?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you sure you didn't just create 3 app shortcut icons for your Gallery? You can create as many shortcuts icons as you want for a single app. If you tap any of these icons, does it open the same gallery app?

Why do you think 3 gallery icons would mean somebody has hacked your phone?
