Why do I have to press 1 or 2 to answer a forwarded call?

I can answer calls on my S8 when they dial my mobile number. However, if the call is forwarded from another number, I'm asked to press 1 or 2 before I can answer it. I have tried changing settings on Google Voice to get rid of this, but nothing is working. I don't want to be prompted before I can answer a call.
