Why do I only get notifications when I open the app? Specifically my eBay app doesn't flag sales until I open the app. Used to work fine. I reinstalled the app. Notifications are enabled??

Might be a problem with your phone's battery optimization technique. Try disabling battery optimization for the app you have problems with in Settings > Apps. The specific way to do it depends on your phone model and Android version. Try looking it up on https://dontkillmyapp.com/

Which device?you using and power saving modes ? You use a 3rd party launcher?

In addition, please tap the Recent Tasks key, choose your eBay app and lock it in order to prevent its background from being killed.
