...and blackberries.

For **** sakes. why the hell do all phones not have this. its such a ing awesome feature to have.

like i really really want the HTC One X but the damn GNex has notification leds.

I can't decide which to get becuase of this :(

One X, do not let one minor light dilemma potentially spoil the next 2 years or how ever long you use a phone

Re: Why do multi-colored notification LEDs only exist on the GNex

Well I dont know. Both phones are amazing, but the OneX has the GNex beat in every category. Im also a huge HTC Fanboy. But man, i just hate the fact that multicolored led's are not more popular. Does the OneX even have an led?

And this was more of a general rant, but i didn't know where else to post it, so please tell me if you too wish that more phones had multicolored led's or if i'm the only ex-bb user that is dying for this

Re: Why do multi-colored notification LEDs only exist on the GNex

It notifies you of mail, text or missed call via flashing led, Who cares what color it is?
You can pick any phone apart for missing features but this is ridiculous.

Let me get this straight, you are ranting about the one x for not having a flashing multicolored notification led in your original post and now in your reply you mention this above?

Wtf?.

Re: Why do multi-colored notification LEDs only exist on the GNex

Alright, so, we're getting a bit out of line here.

I love the HTC One X. I'm more than likely going to get the One X (even though it's not offered by my provider)

In my opinion, the HTC One X >>>>> GNex

Alright, now that we got that out of the way,

i'm simply making a comment on the lack of multicolored notification LEDs on new devices. Again, in my opinion, it's a really neat feature that does nothing but add extra customization to you're already amazing device.

multicolored led's are on most blackberries and only on the GNex and Nexus One. I think it would be cool to have them on newer phones too, hence me creating this topic.

Now, my HTC Desire has orange, green and blue. Charging, notifications and bluetooth. Does the HTC OneX have those?

EDIT: i probably could have made the OP sound a little better, but it was late and i got a bunch of exams to worry about. sorry.

The One X and the One S have a multicolor LED.

OK, so so far I've only seen red and green. But that's still two colors. :p

Re: Why do multi-colored notification LEDs only exist on the GNex

Have you tried using light flow to see if you can change the color?

Re: Why do multi-colored notification LEDs only exist on the GNex

It's likely Red (orange-ish) and Green only. That's what the Thunderbolt supports, and likely others.

It is really nice to have a multi-colored LED, but at the end of the day if it's an email, a text message, a missed call or a voicemail, all you need to see is something lit up to let you know "hey, look at me. I have something for you" and then you pick it up regardless and find out.

I can see where you're coming from, multicolored LED on the Nexus is nice, but the One X dominates that phone, hands down. So if that's the biggest problem you have, get the One X and be happy.

Re: Why do multi-colored notification LEDs only exist on the GNex

At least it has an led for notification! :p

When I was going to my Nexus S 4G it bothered me a bit that they didnt even put one in at all, but I've learned to live with it and there are workarounds if I really needed visual notification (BLN).

But I do agree that multi-color notification is nice and could be useful but for me personally, it's nothing I'd pass over a phone over at all.

I agree.

But in addition to that, i can get the GNex by resigning, but i can only get the OneX by resigning, selling the Gnex and still putting up some extra cash for it.

worth the hassle?

Re: Why do multi-colored notification LEDs only exist on the GNex

Man, totally agree with you.. I'm on the mood of replacing my Nexus One for another phone with a better camera but I don't think I can live without my trackball led going green for whatsapp messages, blue for facebook alerts, red for emails and white for missed calls! It's just something so stupid to do that I can't understand why manufacturers don't put this in every single device!
