Why do my apps keep disappearing from my home screen?

Why do my apps keep disappearing from my home screen

I have put my most frequently used apps to my home screen and when I turn my phone off at night and on in the morning they are gone and have to move all the short cuts back.

I was having the same problem when my Xperia was on Kitkat, it was because I moved some apps to SD Card.
