Why do my Samsung S8's videos sometimes save correctly as videos and sometimes as a

I take stills and videos. When I call them back up to view, the stills are fine, some videos are fine, ie, play back as they should, and other videos show up as "stacks" of individual pictures which appear to be the individual frames of those videos. Anyone have an answer or even a theory on this?

How are you taking those "stacks", as videos? Or are you holding the camera button in for a few seconds? (That will take a stack of stills.)
