Why Do Widgets Keep Appearing On A53

I have a Galaxy A53. The widgets for Big Keyboard, Games and others will not go away. I remove them by dragging and dropping them to the remove x at the top of the screen but they just come back. How do I get rid of them permanently?

Your using the stock launcher?
Long press a empty page on home screen then tap home screen and see if lock home screen is toggle on?

Welcome to the forums. Are those stock widgets or from some app that you downloaded? Could you post a screenshot?

When I did that the area with widgets got smaller and went in towards the center. When I tapped home screen it just expanded back to normal.

I am using a different phone for this forum. I took a picture but can't figure out how to upload it.
