why does an incoming call sometimes swipe to answer and other times press to answer?

I haven't figured out the logic but sometimes it's swipe to answer and then press to answer

The only thing I've noticed is that if the screen is off, it makes me swipe to answer (which I guess would make sense since I don't want to accidentally answer calls while the phone is in my pocket.) Meanwhile, if the screen is on, I have to tap to open it because the answer pop up is much smaller and doesn't have the space to allow for swiping.
Are you seeing something different?

That may be it.... I noticed it on a back to back call and what you are saying makes sense. Coincidentally A call came in while I was typing this message I only had to press it because the screen was obviously open
