I have the newest galaxy android s9, previously used a j7 which had the same issue, where when I use the Google search bar it takes me to a webpage that doesn't let me see or access any of my tabs unless I specifically select "open in chrome" and I would like to clarify that I HAVE fixed this before on my Galaxy J7, but it required a lot of tickering and I can not remember what the magic button was. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything. Nothing is taking now on my Galaxy S9. I can't find any differences in the settings on the two devices so I'm at a loss what it could be.

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Android Apps forum to the General Help forum, since the former is intended for developers to promote their apps.

Open your Google app, tap Menu>Settings>Accounts & Privacy, and make sure "Open web pages in the Google App" is turned off.
