Why does Facebook Messenger Notifications still come through while in Do Not Disturb?

I have an Samsung Galaxy S5 with the latest lollipop updates . I have set my Do Not Disturb to be scheduled allowing the exceptions of Alarms only. YET, if someone sends me a Facebook messages, it chimes on through. Any way around this other than muting my phone altogether?
