Why does gear keep turning off and not charging ?

When i connect my galaxy gear to charger it turns off when i close the door and when it shows fully charged it isn't when i turn watch on plus it only stays on for about a minute then it switches itself off again . I have tried a reset with restore and it's still doing it .

Please help as it's driving me nuts and i miss my gear .

Mine is doing the same thing. 100% after charging all night, then shuts off and when turns back on says 60%. I think the battery has spent it's life and afraid same for my gear after 2 faithful years. Just so disappointed in the current watch offerings.

My was doing the same thing. I tried everything that was suggested but nothing worked. I finally decided to purchase a new battery and after installing my watch started working like new again. After charging it fully I connected it to my phone and played around with it for a couple of hours then I put put it on my nightstand so that I could monitor it's condition over the next few days. After 3 days it still had 53% battery and is still working like a charm.
