Why does it take so long to pull up a name in SMS?

Ive tried everything...ive deleted roughly 80% of all my messages, got rid of any apps that could be slowing the phone down, restarted the phone, etc.

And still, when I go to search/add a name in the to field in SMS, it can take about 5 seconds to find it.

Considering the state of the art hardware that this device utilizes, why on earth is it taking so long?

Have you done factory reset , if u tried everything but in vain,
Suggest that take phone and go to repair center to see what' going on.

Thank you for the suggestion but this unfortunately affected no change...

I agree, mine does the same thing. I can clear every single text and it still does it.

I'm good with the default texting app. It should not take so long to pull up a contact name though.
