Why does keypad disappear during automated call

Android Central Question

Whenever I ring up and am given a selection of numbers to press my keypad disappears and screen goes black. So annoying

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? If the whole screen is going black, even when you take the phone away from your ear, then something might be blocking the phone's proximity sensor, like a poorly fitted case or screen protector. Try taking those off.

I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!!! Credits to me only ok!:)
When i removed the screen protector film (which i purchased extra along with the phone), it seems to work fine now. Something in that film or screen protector caused this problem by either touching the sensors or blocking them
