I use Messages for web almost exclusively. Every now and then, it seems to randomly disconnect and give the attached error message. I am able to kind of "wake it up" by unlocking my phone and going to the Messages app in Android. When I do that, it reconnects, as if it had been in some kind of sleep mode. This happen to anyone else?

I'm on a Pixel 3. This actually used to happen with my old Nexus 5 too. And it doesn't seem to matter what wi-fi I'm on - home, work, same thing. Nor does it seem to be a matter of signal strength. I have Messages set to "not optimized" for battery.

I see that happen occasionally on my Pixel 3 XL and my Chromebooks. Usually, if I just wait a few seconds, it reconnects. Have you already tried removing the connection and then re-establishing it again (i.e., re-scanning the QR code)?

Thanks! Yeah, I read that as a possible solution somewhere and it does seem to work, at least in the short run. But it will still periodically disconnect. Maybe it's just a quirk of the technology, then. I was worried that I had a network setting wrong or something.
