Hi, so recently i just bought the samsung j7 prime (SM-G610F/DS) and so far i love it. But, when i tried to play music from it to the car stereo via aux port, the music sounds bland. My old device was asus zenfone 5 (A500CG) and when it connected to the car stereo it sounds really good compared to my new j7 prime. It is exactly the same car, and the car stereo has exactly the same audio settings, and also same aux cable. The battery level (both phone) are also >45%. I used normal equalizer settings in both phone, without modify a single settings.
Any suggestion guys?
Thank you..

Some phones just don't have a very decent DAC inside of them, resulting in a subpar audio experience through an auxiliary cable. You can try and alter your audio settings or installing an app that will allow you to tinker with them, but beyond that I can't really help.

There's also the slim possibility that this is a hardware issue (something being lose, or just a defective component) but I don't have any personal experience with your particular phone so I can't verify.

Wow, thanks mate it really answer my question.. one thing that really annoys me that the music output are really lack of bass.. other than that, i like the music output.. the bass it self are nice in fact, it's soft but the bass' volume are too low that i can't hear it when the car start moving..
Any suggestion ? Because i think this problem is complicated, too much X factor on that..

I agree, there's a lot of "unknown" here that makes it difficult to properly assess if there is a problem here in the first place and what that problem might be. It could simply be a matter of the DAC (digital-to-audio converter) being slightly lower quality. I had this come up just the other day with my girlfriend (who is not tech savvy) who asked me to use my 950 XL (yes I know I'm weird) to play music in her car because her Stylo 3 (which I bought her) was almost dead. She immediately remarked on how much louder my phone got, even through her stereos, and how much better it sounded. I haven't messed with any sound settings on my phone, it's just that my 950 XL has a nicer DAC inside of it. The fact that she commented on it, considering she never really cares about the differences in phones, means it was immediately noticeable, suggesting a substantial increase in quality.

I suggest trying to install an equalizer app from the Google Play Store (I'm not sure what a good one would be honestly, but it shouldn't be too hard to tell the difference from an app that the developer actually cares about and an app that was just thrown out there) and messing with your bass and treble settings to see if you can alter your phone's sound to a satisfactory level. Alternatively, if your phone is still inside of its return period, and if this is really important to you, there are phones that boast dedicated high-end DAC's, like the HTC 10, ZTE Axon 7, LG V20, or certain models of the LG G6.

Thanks for your reply mate,,
but after thinking for a while, i thought that playing music from usb (flash disk) are the best solution for me.. i've already tried it and it sounds better than my current phone, althought the bass is not as peaky as my old zenfone5, but the sound quality it self are better than the zenfone5.. For the next time i think i'll go for better sound system for my car stereo (speakers, tweeter, subwoofer & amplifier) because mine only equipped with kenwood single-DIN head unit and 2 speakers.. ha!
