Why does my battery drain faster as it gets lower?

Battery drains faster as it gets lower.

My android battery works just fine when it's upto 40% but when it decreases to about 30-35% it decreases really fast and the last 20% won't even last for 10 minutes. It rapidly decreases. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! That isn't too unusual--as the battery gets closer to zero, the meter might become less accurate. If the battery is relatively old, it might also be a sign of normal wear and tear. Are you able to replace the battery? If so, does a new battery behave the same way?
