Why does my battery life die when at 30 and sometimes 50?

Battery Life Dies when at 30% and sometimes 50%

I have been running into this problem where my note 4 is dyeing when it says that it has 30%. Yesterday it died when I had 50%. It is a stock battery and only a little over a year old. Anyone have any solutions? Or should I just get a new battery?

It could be that the battery is starting to fail. I'd try with a new one and see what happens.

Welcome to Android Central! I agree with Javier P. Also, the battery sensor software might need recalibration--charge up to 100%, use the phone normally until it shuts off automatically, charge back up to 100%, and repeat this cycle 3 times.

Post a screen shot of the second battery graph when it fails at 50% (see How To Post Screenshots on Android Central). The battery could be throwing a dendrite (in which case Javier would be correct - it has to be replaced).

I'm having the same issue with my Note 4. Seems to happen randomly when i use the camera. Worst one was at 65% but generally happens around 30%.

Same. Mine just died at 32%. Seems to be worse since recalibrating. It used to die around 12%.

Working on a Note 4 that's about a year old.

may be you also need to change battery
