I'm using a Samsung S9+ on android. The device is barely a year old so this is not a worn out battery issue but something else. I'm sort of suspecting tht maybe it's a result of an OS update, but here's the problem:
My battery life (using a day as a charging lifespan) seems to fluctuate in an extreme way. I use the same apps on a daily basis and my habits of use over a 24 hour period are very predictable. If I take my device to work with 75% power, 8 hours later I may have 50% left which is pretty good considering I'm making calls and using internet on breaks. However on occasion I've been down to 15% over the the same period with the same usage and start percentage of power. This is baffling me ! The device remains in my pocket and I work inside so it's not an ambient temperature issue...I'm also using Avast battery saver which alerts me to any apps running in background. Any ideas ? This is really strange.
