Android Central Question

More than half of my phones storage is the dialer storage system app. I have less than 100 contacts and I've deleted all but a couple text messages. Even after checking everything, it still sits at 37gb. Help! I just got this S9 in June (6 months ago!!) And I've never had this issue with my previous S7 or S5... I'm tempted to toss this dang phone in the garbage and get an apple 😱😱😱😱

Did you restore your phone data from a backup of an old phone?
If so, I suggest clearing the cache (process below), and if that doesn't work restore your phone to factory defaults and set it up as new without using your old backups.

Open Settings>>Apps
Tap the three dots on the top right corner of the screen and tap Show System Apps.
Find "Dialer Storage" in the list and tap it.
Tap Storage and tap Clear Cache.

Hello, I am having the same issue. Did you ever figure out a solution?
