Why does my dropped phone no longer charge?

Dropped and no longer charges

Last night I dropped my S3 just after inserting the charging cord. It fell about 30 inches onto a rug. It may have hit where the charging cord is inserted. The phone no longer will charge. I checked it with the mobile charger and another charging cord. All 3 do not work. I suspect I have damaged something. Is there something that I can check ? Do the charging devices that let you put the phone on a plate to charge work for this device. Thanks.

It sounds like you may have damaged the charging port. You can purchase a wireless charging kit from Amazon for a decent price.
