Why does my Galaxy S6 become unresponsive after charging?

Galaxy s6 becomes unresponsive after charging.

I plug in my Galaxy S6 to charge before I go to sleep. It will be on the charger for an average of 4-6 hours. At first it was fine but now it freezes. The notification lights will still flash but it will not respond to the home or power/wake buttons and I have to reset it every time. I have only had it about 3 weeks now. Any idea why this happens?
