Why does my LG G2 screen flashe automatically from home to lock, opens and closes apps?

LG G2 Screen issue. Screen flashes automatically from home to lock, opens and closes apps

I have an LG G2 from AT&T. I unlocked it and switched to Net10. It worked fantastic for about a year. Issues with screen started with a small vertical line about an inch from the top not responding to touch. Now my screen gets locked to daydream clock. Can't access phone at all. Then out of the blue the screen flashes to home then back again automatically. Then it will stop for a while but will intermittently open and close a random app. I have a video clip of it in action but I'm new so I'm not sure how to attach. For some stupid reason I'm not allowed to post the youtube link which would be very helpful to find a solution

have you dropped it or had any spillages over the device? have you tryed a factory reset?

I forgot to mention that I did do a factory reset. No change. I have dropped it a few times while in the case but not prior to these issues

The unresponsive screen issue near the top had been a common problem with the G2, there are a few older threads on it. I saw the video, have no idea what that lock screen switching crazy is about.
