Why does my LG-VS410PP drop calls after talking only 5 minutes?

Lately, my phone has been dropping calls after talking for only 5 minutes. I tried clearing the call duration history and it helped for one day, but the next day it was doing the same thing. Also, my Bluetooth has always dropped calls when I'm in car. I'm about ready to throw this phone out the window. Does anyone have an suggestions on what could be wrong or should I just get a new phone? Also, just wanted to add that this is a pre-paid phone; however, this is the first time I've had an android phone. It just seems to me that my old LG flip phone never had these problems. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
