Android Central Question

Why does my Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Reciever for Windows work on Android but not Mac?

Is it supported through standard HID or does Android include a special driver?

Is it specific or general support?

Basically, I'm wanting to know which pieces of android, down to the FINEST DETAIL (emphasis, the tiny little details are the most important part) are responsible for my wireless reciever(transciever XD) working on Amazon Fire (an android distro), LG X Power, and other android devices. (I have confirmed it to work via OTG on both).

It may not need a driver for the XBox and Android but need one for the Mac. (My wireless mouse works on Android without a driver, but it needs a driver for Windows.) Remember, Android, at the level of hardware, is Linux, so a device designed to run on Windows and Linux will also work on Android, but not necessarily on a Mac.
