Why does my Nexus 5 wake up randomly?

My Nexus 5 wakes up randomly

I will lock my phone or it will 'sleep' after30 seconds of inactivity, but randomly the screen will wake up. This happens a billion times a day and its annoying because then it calls people or it opens apps and I just want to know how to fix that I've already tried looking for something in settings but I've found nothing. Please help

I dont know whether it would help, but try Safe Mode.
