Why does my Note 3 randomly play music?

Note 3 randomly playing music

My note 3 sometimes plays music in my playlist randomly. Is there a way to get this to stop? (and no I was not listening to music or even touching the phone at the time)

Welcome to Android Central! Was Bluetooth on? Or was a headphone connected in the headphone jack?

nope nothing at all. I have Bluetooth off. And no headphones on.

Is it the stock Music app that's activating, or some other music app? What happens if you go to the App Manager and Force Stop it?

Do you have a task manager running...If so it may be turning the app back on if another app uses its resources. Like if you have an app that uses music for a ringtone or an alarm. If so just get rid of the task manager. There are some apps that when installed have an ignore menu so certain apps will be left alone. Maybe an app you installed has a menu like this. if you installed any new apps delete them and see if problem goes away. Add back the apps one at a time to see if it happens again and which app is causing it. Otherwise you can do the force stop app, clear cache partition, shut down , battery pull, and restart. After that if it still happens a factory data reset would be suggested. If still no cure exchange phone.

yes it is the stock ap (Music). No I don't have a task manager running. When I go in and kill the ap, sometimes it stops and sometimes it starts playing again a few minutes later.

I uninstalled the current update and now no problem
