Why does my Note 4 send a touch tone sound when the Outlook incoming email notification sounds?

Note 4 sends touch tone sound when the outlook incoming email notification sounds

Situation:
On a conference call with several co-workers. We all have Microsoft Outlook 2010 as email program. When someone receives a new email the default sound that outlook makes causes my Note 4 to send a number touch sound (like i pressed and held 1 for a second or 2 on the dial pad). Has anyone else had this issue?

at first i thought it was mu fat cheek pressing it. but then i had a headset on and it happened. then i finally realized it happened everytime someones outlook notification sound happened.

Are you all using the same notification sound? Have you played it in a music player? Does it have the tones on it? (A notification sound is just a sound file - you'll hear whatever is on the file, including garbage that got on it when it was made. My old text notification was "You have a te" until I downloaded a different file.)
