Phone Always Show up as Unknown Device

How do I fix the problem of my phone showing up as an unknown device when the computer tries to recognize it. It shows up as an unknown device on EVERY computer. It does not even install its USB drivers on computers that don't have them.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried different USB cables? There's also a possibility the phone is a clone or knockoff--one way to tell is to run an app like CPU-Z to see what kind of processor it has. The Core Prime has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, so if the app tells you it's a MediaTek processor (which is a very common processor used by cheap or knockoff phones), then you know it's not a genuine Samsung phone.
