Why does my phone battery remains 100% after long hour usage

Going need some info here ,what phone? When this started happening? Using correct chargers? Ect..

Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone rooted?

Try using the phone until it shuts down automatically from low battery. Then charge to 100% and power back on again. Does the same thing happen?
