Why does my phone get hot in my pocket?

Whenever my phone is in my pocket it gets very hot and dies but there is no insulation in my pocket, can you please help me?

That's normal. Depending on the specs of your device and how old it is, it may have a harder time running certain processes or being on for extended periods of time. As long as it isn't steaming or burning you, I wouldn't be concerned. Lithium-ion batteries are what just about all smart phones have, and tend to warm-up while in use or while charging.
