Android Central Question

I have a two year old Google pixel 3a with a cracked screen + screen protector. Ever since my screen cracked, when a tiny droplet of water falls on my phone it starts clicking on things which I am not touching. However, a restart fixes this normally. Recently, I also had an incident when without water contact, I would touch a button on my keyboard and it would press it multiple times for some reason. Any solutions would be appreciated.

Literally you answered your own question in the very first line. While digitizers are some really resilient hardware, I mean I've seen phones that you can barely make out the image below but it still works, but eventually the damage will catch up to the user. Stressing and flexing the phone with all of those fractures is just pushing and pulling things. It's bound to take a toll.

While the device is still "usable", you should take all measures to backup as much as possible, move items off of the device and prep like you won't be able to get into the phone tomorrow. Failure can be slow and over time or all at once right now and even though it has been some time coming, this slow burn, the issue is obviously getting worse and I personally wouldn't want to get caught with my guard down.
