At first I thought my phone was crashing when using Messenger+, but I have been noticing my phone is crashing even shortly after start up or even on its own in sleep mode.

Before considering that, what do you mean by crashing? How do you know that this is occurring in sleep mode? Describe the symptoms as accurately as possible and we may be able to suggest a fix.
