Why does my phone not charge and keep having a popup that says something about power sharing?

Everytime I plug in my phone to the charger I've always used, it tells me that I need to download some power sharing app.
My phone wont charge and the battery is draining. I just got this phone 2-3 months ago. It's an S5.

Welcome to Android Central! I've seen threads about this crop up from time to time. It may have to do with the cable you're using--have you tried different cables?
