Why does my phone not let me access it

my samsung s8 worked perfectly for the first 3 or so months i have had it yet suddenly the power button does not work and my phone freezes after i key in my password and all i can do it swipe up and go back to my lock screen, in short i cant power off my phone and i cant press 'ok' after entering my password from the lock screen

Also boot manager where you can wipe cache partition, all to set Safe Boot.

I have received faulty buttons from Samsung products and had to RMA. If the phone has been dropped or the button was damaged, it could have caused it to be depressed all the time making it impossible to press. when mine was broken in the past I was able to tell because when I pressed it there was no soft click sound like the other buttons. If you can not get it booted into safe mode, it may be a defective or damaged button.
