Why does my phone say parse error whenever I am using sdcard

[Android Central Question]

I am using a Tecno7c device. I noticed that when I insert sdcard to my phone, when I install apps, it says parse error, some or most of the pictures in my phone will not open,it says no thumbnail. Please help.

You making the sd card as internal storage? If so I advise not to as could create problems.

Welcome to Android Central! Or are you using the Move to SD feature in Settings>Apps?

The card might be counterfeit as well, which means it's actually much smaller than it claims to be. So if you exceed the true storage capacity of the card, data starts to get corrupted.

Seconding what B. Diddy says. If the card is not a reputable/verified brand and/or size, there is a possibility it is corrupting your data as you write to it, and then the device is unable to read the files.
