Why does my phone screen turn orange after i turn my phone off then on again

[Android Central Question]

Whenever i turn my phone off then on again it will turn orange, i will have to keep it off for up to an hour to have it turn back to normal. Recently it has gotten worse making me have to have my phone off for up to 3 hours till it will turn back to normal. Please help.

Which phone?
Make sure you don't have blue light or anything similar on or messed with accessibility settings, try safe mode if same

So still happening in safe mode?
Go to settings>General management>reset>reset accessibility settings just in case

Trying that didn't help, i think I can post a screen shot but it will just appear normal color as i think it might be a screen issue

That could be possible if it doesn't show up as a screenshot only taken from another phone

I found a fix, i have to tap on the screen while it's off so it shows the time, then I turn it on. Thanks for the assistance though.

I have no idea why the hell this happens but I found out how to avoid it for the time being.

You referring to only lock screen

If you can get a video of this or something , it's kinda hard to know what your seeing

It sounds to me like a software or, worse, a hardware fault needing attention. The method you describe isn’t a proper fix.

Confused, they mentioned have to tap on the screen while off sounds like on lock screen but then said it happens everywhere, we just guessing until we see a at least a video what they seeing
