Why does my phone suddenly say "refreshing SIM data"?

Okay so when I woke up, I turned my phone on. {It never happens} and I see at the bottom "refreshing SIM data" then my battery started to drain. Is this normal or does something like this always happen on android phones?

note: my battery has been draining lately because I play games and also use apps like facebook mostly on WI-FI.

It's way too lengthy to put the process here, you need to go to xda-developers just google it and you'll find it, the thread will be in their and instructions. good lluck, i just had too do this also....
