Why does my phone turn off whenever I plug my headphones in?

I have a Samsung galaxy J2 pro and every time I plug my headphones in my phone freezes and then turns off and then back on again and if I take my headphones out it is normal but if I keep them in it keeps turning on and off again.

Welcome to Android Central! I would suspect some kind of hardware issue around where the headphone jack is. Perhaps there's a loose connection somewhere that's causing an issue with the power circuits. See if the problem happens in Safe Mode: https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-galaxy-j2-pro-sm-j210f/faq/safe-mode/. If it does, then bring it to a repair shop.
