Android Central Question

Once I was using an app on my new refurbished Galaxy S10, and all of a sudden it crashed. I had Google Chrome open in the background, and when I opened it back up it had reset. I had work open in incognito tabs that got lost because of that nonsense.

The same thing just happened again, and I'm sick of it. I can't let this keep happening, so please tell me how to at least stop this stupid phone from resetting Chrome for no goddamn reason. Thank you in advance.

It sounds like a RAM shortage issue, where your phone runs out of memory so it has to close some apps to keep up. Maybe try to clear your recent apps more often and uninstall apps you don't need so they don't run unnecessarily in the background.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying it was Chrome that crashed, or that some other app you were using crashed, which then caused Google Chrome to crash?

If it was some other app, then the problem is likely with that app. Did you install it from the Play Store, or from somewhere else?

You've learned one of the pitfalls of using Incognito Mode. If you don't want Google to maintain your browser history, then you run the risk of losing whatever work you may have been doing, since there's no way to recover those pages.
