Why does my Samsung G8+ unlocks to my keypad? I use a pattern lock. This is very annoying. This only started recently after it got an update (about 2-3 weeks ago).

Your phone still has a master lock number. If you fail the pattern lock to many times it will first suggest entering the number instead, enough fails and it will require the number.

I would try to remove the pattern and set it up again.
