why does my samsung galaxy note pro 12.2 keep restarting?

i recently bought a samsung galaxy note pro 12.2 and it's been working fine for a couple of months, haven't had any problems with it. yesterday i left it to charge and then woke up to use it this morning and the screen wouldn't light up but then i pressed the lock button instead of the home button and it lit up just fine so i left it for like 30 minutes and when i tried unlocking the screen it wouldn't light up again so i pressed the power button for 15 seconds and now it keeps restarting itself.

all that shows up is the screen that says samsung galaxy note | pro SM-P901 then the screen with the samsung logo and then restarts all over again doesn't even start the tablet and i can't even turn it off! it's been doing that for at least the past 15 minutes someone please help!!!

Try clearing cache by holding volume down+home button+power button until the recovery displays. Once it does use volume down to select clear cache and power to accept. If that doesn't work try the factory reset option and see if that works. If still no boot then contact Samsung for a return/repair.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Try clearing cache by holding volume down+home button+power button until the recovery displays.

Actually, Volume Down+ Power buttons, no need Home button, you are going to Download Mode or Odin Mode.
Press Power+Volume Up buttons will go to Android Recovery Mode , again, no need to combine with Home button.

I've got this problem with my Note Pro 12.2 (SM-P905), every few months the device starts rebooting, it's something that happens randomly, some days there's no problem and sometimes it's impossible to use it because it keeps rebooting continuously.

Resetting the device to factory default setting fixes this problem, but it's annoying having to reset the device every few months.

I think installing Android 6 to this device would fix it, because we don't even have Android 5.1. It's a pitty that there won't be more Android updates for this device, we have a very good device, but unfortunately discontinued and abandoned by Samsung.

Ok, guys I resolved this issue and have not had a problem for months. Its part bad design and part user. The battery terminal is not secured very well. They put a piece of tape over it. smh That is the design flaw.

The other problem is user. When handling the Note Pro do not hold in the flat position from the right, left top or bottom ONLY. The Note Pro is pretty heavy and it will flex when held flat from one side and the terminal pops loose.
