Why does my Samsung Galaxy S10 not show incoming call contact details?

[Android Central Question]

I have a new Samsung Galaxy S10, I used smart switch to copy all my contacts from my old phone, a Samsung J7. It copied all contacts but when I get incoming calls from contacts I have already, the contact details don't show up during the call. I don't know who is calling yet the info is there in contacts. Please help.

Have tried clearing cache,data and force close the dialer app?

Welcome to Android Central! Are the numbers you're seeing in the Phone app exactly the same as the numbers entered into your Contacts entry? If it differs at all (like the presence of absence of a country code), then it might not show the contact name.

This would be unlikely, but also check to see if the Phone app doesn't have Contact permission for some reason (in the Settings>Apps menu).
