A

AC Question

My Samsung GS5 is slow responding, the music player stops playing on its own, I get prompts that contacts has stopped working and I was not using the contacts, get prompts that music player has stopped working and I'm not playing music. I hate this Android 5.0 - it sucks. I want to revert to Android 4.4 KitKat. Please help.

Here's a good article that provides solutions to fix your issues: http://www.androidcentral.com/andro...you-down-heres-how-you-might-be-able-fix-them

You can start with clearing cache then a factory reset is that doesn't work. Be sure to backup your data and sync accounts beforehand. Let us know how that goes.

My self my wife and several of my friends with the GS5 all had this issue of the contacts stopping. none of us liked the idea of doing a full reset. One of my buddies also had issues with Facebook messenger, he removed it no change, then removed facebook app.. yes still get the occasional error, but the contacts stopped message has quit for all of us.

Give it a shot for a day or so to see if it helps

Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

Thanks for posting that. Say hi or have a look in Introductions (Android Central Community).
The Samsung S5 forum may not be aware of that.

I am not looking forward to Lollipop on my Note 3, but it sounds like it runs better on this device than the S5.

I also upgraded to Lollipop from KitKat, and also had contacts messages, slowed performance and hiccups in speed all over. This was mostly remedied (for me) by clearing the cache partition as detailed elsewhere on this site. Facebook and iHeart Radio apps quit on me sometimes, but I'm happy enough.
