My Samsung S3 mini keeps shutting down

My Samsung S3 mini keeps shutting down straight away after starting up. I get 10 seconds of use after starting up and then it automatically restarts and the cycle keeps going until the battery runs out. This started randomly yesterday afternoon. After looking at a few posts on this website, I tried a few of the suggestions. When putting the phone into safe mode it doesn't shut down. Should I still try a cache partition wipe? Is the most likely problem an app that starts up as soon as the phone does? Is there anything I can do about that?
Thanks a million,
Dan

Hello Dan. If you're saying that Safe Mode fixes the problem, then it is indeed caused by a third-party app. You'll have to discover which one it is, laborious though that is, and uninstall it.
I doubt that a Cache Partition wipe would have any effect on that, but it would do no harm, and possibly some good, to do one anyway.

Same problem here - I updated some apps on Saturday morning. And the phone was shutting down itself ever since. I badly need the phone to work for voice calls right now, so I just uninstalled all the apps which is a pain.
As an idea, is there an app that we have in common that might cause this. On Saturday, I updated:

Sky+
Facebook
TuneIn Radio
RTE News
Netflix
Unit Converter
Accuweather
