Why does my screen timeout setting constantly reset to 30 ses?

My screen timeout setting will not stay where I set it. I have done a factory reset. How can I troubleshoot this?

Does it persist in Safe Mode?

Battery saving mode is off.

How do I boot into safe mode?

Press Power as if to power off, then long-press on the 'Power Off Phone?' message to bring up the Safe Mode option.

It appears to hold the setting in safe mode. What next?

Okay. You will now have to identify the third-party app causing the trouble, then Clear Cache, Clear Data, Force Stop, and Uninstall.

I uninstalled several apps that I suspected may be causing the problem. The setting stayed at 2 minutes. I then reinstalled the apps, one by one, and it is still holding. One of the app installations must have been corrupt and reinstalling appears to have solved it. Yeah!!

The problem came back and I determined that it is caused by Notifier Pro. I changed the screen timeout setting in the app to 2 minutes but my screen timeout in the phone settings continues to revert to 30 sec. Notifier Pro is outta here.
