Why does my screen turn dark when making a call

Or when receiving a call i can not answer it cus i can not see it

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like the proximity sensor is being activated inappropriately, which shuts off the screen. Normally, it gets activated by your head when you hold the phone up against your ear -- this prevents your face from accidentally pressing onscreen buttons. But if something is blocking the proximity sensor when a call is initiated (like a poorly fitting case or a dirty screen protector) or if the sensor is faulty, it may falsely activate, thus blanking the screen.
