Why does my screen turn on and off when charging?

Screen turning on and off when charging

Hello, I just got my S6 today. When I plugged it in, the screen wouldn't turn off. After fiddling around a bit, I went into Developers Options, and turned off Stay Awake. However, now when charging, approximately every 10 seconds, the screen will come on, stay on for 10 seconds, turn off, and then 10 seconds later turn on again. I'm usually around my phone when I'm charging, and it's very annoying. Is there any way to turn it off? Thank you!

Are you charging wireless?
Maybe is not in the right position?
I would recommend to just exchange it since you just got it.
