Why does my SG3 only charge at a certain angle?

SG3 only charges at a certain angle

Ok, so my samsung s3 is my only phone(wont be able to get a new one anytime soon), and the only way it can charge is by holding it at a certain angle/position. If you have any answers please help.

Was the same problem. Reason - broken/leaned over charge cable. Bend it(cable) in different angles(but not to much), if your phone will starts to charging when you bending the cable - causer is the cable.

It could be the cable (easy enough to check by using another cable) but the usual cause is that one or both of the power pins on the charging port became disconnected from the board it's soldered to. (VERY little solder is used on those pins because they're really just single wires, and a little stress pushing the plug in or pulling it out, repeated often enough, can break the solder film.) The solution is to have the port resoldered by a competent shop that will clean the board up first, then solder it with enough solder that it will hold. (Wave soldering, which is usually what's done in the factory, works, but it's not nearly as good as hand soldering. It would just cost the manufacturer 100 times as much - wave soldering does the whole motherboard in seconds for almost no money. Even cheap hand labor is a LOT more expensive than that.)
